Mansour condemns the occupation’s crime of killing Palestinian prisoner Nasser Abu Hamid

New York (ST): Permanent Representative of Palestine to the United Nations Riyad Mansour once again called on the international community to take urgent measures to confront the violations and crimes of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people and to provide the Palestinians with protection in accordance with the relevant UN resolutions.
In letters he sent to each of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the President of the Security Council and the President of the General Assembly of the United Nations and reported by the Wafa News Agency, Mansour condemned the occupation’s murder of the prisoner Nasser Abu Hamid, 50 years old, who died yesterday as a result of being subjected to the worst forms of treatment, including medical neglect at the hands of his jailers, who didn’t heed repeated calls for his release, in aserious violation of international humanitarian law.
Mansour called on the occupation to release the body of the prisoner Abu Hamid so that his family could bury him properly, pointing out that there are approximately 600 Palestinian prisoners in the occupation detention centers who suffer from diseases, including 24 detainees who suffer from cancer and need urgent medical care.
