Mansour calls on international community to compel Israeli occupation to release all Palestinian prisoners

OCCUPIED AL-QUDS, Sep.1, (ST)- Palestine’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Riyad Mansour, has renewed his call on the international community to compel the Israeli occupation authorities to release all Palestinian prisoners.

According to Wafa Agency,  Mansour explained, in three letters sent to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the President of the Security Council, and the President of the United Nations General Assembly, the difficult conditions being experienced by thousands of Palestinians, who have been  arbitrarily detained in occupation jails where they are subjected to psychological and physical torture in grave violation of international law and international humanitarian law.

Mansour stressed the need for the Security Council, the General Assembly, the Human Rights Council and the International Criminal Court to assume their responsibilities and implement the rules of international law, including the Fourth Geneva Convention, to compel the occupation authorities to release all prisoners and put an end to the occupation and the apartheid regime.
