Mamlouk during his meeting with Shamkhani: Syrian-Iranian cooperation against terrorism is in support of regional security

On February 27th, Head of the National Security Office Major General Ali Mamlouk held talks with the Secretary of the Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani in Tehran

The two sides discussed the recent developments on the international scene and its implications on the region, ancooperation between Syria and Iran in the fight against terrorism

The two sides discussed facing the US efforts to revivterrorist organizations in Syria through training and supplying them with weapons

Major General Mamlouk said that Iranian Syrian cooperation in counter-terrorism strengthen the regional security, calling upon all countries to unify their efforts to end the radicalism. 

Major General Mamlouk praised the Iranian role in Syria’s support to confront terrorism

Shamkhani said that his country continues to support Syria in its war against terrorism.

Shamkhani referred to the dangerous role of the United States in creating regional and global crises with a view to dominating the world’s countries and looting their wealth

Shamkhani said that the US occupation of parts of Syria is the greatest obstacle to the return of security and stability fully.

Shamkhani stressed that his country stood by the Syrian government and people in the most difficult circumstances

Shamkhani pointed to the good relations between the two countries and the need to adopt appropriate mechanisms to facilitate and accelerate the implementation of bilateral agreements in various fields.
