The France winger, 32, was frozen out by the Blues after helping them win the Champions League last May.
He did not feature in a single game last season and was forced to train with the Under-21 squad.
But Malouda is looking forward to a new start when his £80,000-a-week contract expires next month, with former club Lyon among those keen to sign him.
He revealed: “I had a problem to sort out with certain people. It’s done. Now, I’m free.
“I’m going to be able to play again next season and I cannot wait.
“I’ve been preparing all year long. I’ll be back next season.”
