Malaysian tourist group visit Bosra city in Daraa province

DARAA, Jul.25, (ST)-  A Malaysian tourist group visited on Monday the city of Bosra to enjoy the beauty of its archaeological sites and to have an idea about its ancient history.

“The directorate works on encouraging local and foreign tourism, and in the first half of this year 22 tourist groups composed of 145 tourists, most of them are of European nationalities have visited the historical city”, said the Directorate of  Daraa Tourism Department, Yasser Al-Sa’adi.

He added that the Directorate, in cooperation with the Bosra Council and the Department of Antiquities, provide visitors with all facilities and information about the city and its ancient history, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

Al-Sa’adi referred to the fact that the successive visits of tourist groups are a good indicator to the recovery of the tourism sector, and it is consistent with the aspirations of the Ministry of Tourism.

Bosra contains 45 archaeological sites inside and outside the old city.
