Malaysia: Signs of peace in Syria offer a glimmer of hope for the entire Islamic nation

Malaysia affirmed that the emerging signs of peace and reconciliation in Syria not only provide hope for the Syrians but also represent an opportunity for the entire Islamic nation.

In a speech delivered during the Islamic-Islamic Dialogue Conference, launched yesterday in the Bahrain Capital, Manama, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim stated, as reported by Bernama News Agency: “Syria has the ability to become a model of reconciliation that overcomes political and sectarian divisions.”

He emphasized the importance of Islamic countries extending a helping hand to both Syria and Palestine and taking concrete actions to support them.
