Makhlouf, Al-Mahdhabi discuss Syrian-Tunisian environmental cooperation

Damascus- Minister of Local Administration and Environment Hussein Makhlouf and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tunisia in Damascus Mohammad Al-Mahdhabi on Thursday discussed ways to enhance the Syrian-Tunisian relations in all fields, in a way that serves the common interests of the two brotherly peoples.

During a meeting with Al-Mahdhabi, Makhlouf stressed the importance of the humanitarian aid that Tunisia provided to Syria to support relief efforts following the earthquake that hit Syria last February, and the rescue teams doctors and equipment it sent, stressing the continuation of coordination to enhance cooperation in the field of local development and to benefit from the Tunisian experience in the environmental field.

For his part, Al-Mahdhabi stressed the importance of working to develop relations between the two countries, and exerting all efforts to strengthen them in the environmental field, training, exchanging experiences, benefiting from the Tunisian Environmental Technology Center in this context and exchanging visits, which will reflect positively on the two brotherly countries.
