DAMASCUS, COUNTRYSIDE, (ST)- Maintenance teams have started restoration works in the Arab gas pipeline in the area between Adra and al-Dmeir towns in Damascus countryside that exploded at dawn today as a result of a terrorist attack.
Earlier on Monday, firefighters and civil defense teams managed to extinguish the fire that broke out in the entire pipeline after the terrorist attack.
Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources Ali Ghanem said that the technical teams checked the pipeline to repair the damaged parts, stressing that power generating stations will be supplied with gas within the coming hours and that the situation will return to normal.
