Maintenance of the Deir Ezzour-Raqqa highway begins

Deir Ezzour (ST): The General Establishment for Road Transport has started implementing a maintenance project for Deir Ezzour-Raqqa highway, according to a contract concluded with the General Organization for the Execution of Military Construction.

The director of the General Establishment for Road Transport branch in Deir Ezzour, Engineer Abdul Karim al-Khidr, said in a statement to a news reporter that maintenance work has begun on the road extending from the Al-Fursan roundabout to the administrative borders of Raqqa governorate in the western countryside of Deir Ezzour, with a contract value of 315 million Syrian pounds.

In turn, the project manager, Eng. Talal Shaban indicated that the works include scraping all the damaged areas of the road, re-laying them with asphalt screeds, in addition to maintaining the Ain Abu Jumaa and Al-Tabani diversions and covering them with asphalt.
