Maduro: The world must talk to stop the annihilation of the Palestinians

Caracas (ST) –  Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro called on the world to raise its voice and move to stop the annihilation of the Palestinian people, calling on the international community to hold a conference to achieve peace and establish an independent Palestinian state.

TASS News Agency reported Maduro as saying in the weekly “With Maduro” program broadcast on Venezuelan television: “The world must clearly reject this genocide of the Palestinian people”, adding, “This is not a war, as mosques and churches are being bombed, which means it is genocide.”

He stressed that all the Christians of Venezuela and the world, Catholics and Orthodox, must raise their voices to stop the war against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.”

He also called for the need to hold an international conference that guarantees the restoration of the Palestinians’ right to have peace and independence in their state.

Maduro noted that Venezuela sent 30 tons of humanitarian aid to Gaza, and will continue to assist the Palestinian people.
