With the participation of 70 companies from various industrial sectors , the activities of the monthly shopping festival “Made in Syria” kicked off on Sunday in the city of Douma in Damascus countryside.
The event is organized by the Damascus and its countryside Chambers of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the Damascus countryside Governorate.
The festival, which will last until the 16th of this month, includes different kinds of products, ranging from food, household appliances, textiles, leather, detergents, cosmetics, handicrafts and antiques, with offers and discounts ranging between 10 and 30 percent.
The Governor of Damascus Countryside, Safwan Abu Saadi, stressed in a statement the importance of this festival, as it presents goods directly from the producer to the consumer as well as a form of support for the consumer to benefit from companies’ offers and discounts.
In turn, Head of the Damascus countryside Chamber of Commerce, Osama Mustafa, indicated that the festival is the result of cooperation between the Damascus countryside Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and held around the year in all governorates.
For their part, a number of participants pointed out to SANA’s correspondent the importance of participation for them to introduce their products directly to the consumer in addition to increasing the percentage of sales through the offers and discounts provided.
