“Made in Syria” Expo. in Baghdad Introduces Different Key Syrian Industries

BAGHDAD, (ST)- Activities of the “Made in Syria” exhibition kicked off on Saturday in the Iraqi capital Baghdad with the participation of 193 Syrian companies specialized in the fields of engineering, health, food and textile.

The exhibition is expected to witness huge turnout of visitors, said Head of the Syrian Exporters Union Mohammad al-Sawwah, adding that 500 tonnes of goods were shipped to Iraq to take part in the exhibition which will last for 20 days.

 He stressed the Union’s full readiness to complete shipping more goods if needed and if selling was active, pointing out that selling is direct at the exhibition in order to promote the Syrian goods in Iraq and help restore the brightness of the Syrian industry, particularly in the light of the current state of recovery of the Syrian economy.

The exhibition, held at the Baghdad International Fair ground, will continue till December 29th.

The opening ceremony was attended by Syria’s Ambassador in Baghdad Sattam Jad’an al-Dandah, representatives of the Iraqi ministries of trade and electricity, Iraqi MPs and ambassadors of Iran, Russia, Mauritania, Algeria and Armenia in Baghdad.
