“Made in Syria” exhibition for direct sales, which was launched last Tuesday in the Libyan city of Benghazi, with the participation of more than 80 companies, witnessed a great turnout from visitors who flocked remarkably from all regions of Benghazi to buy Syrian products, according to the head of the Syrian Exporters Association of Garments and Textiles, Ragheed Al-Halabi.
Al-Halabi said in a statement to SANA that the exhibition, which was inaugurated at the Tibesti Hotel in Sidi Hussein area of Benghazi, Libya, is organized by the regional office of the Union of Arab Exporters and Importers in Syria and under the auspices of the Syrian Ministry of Economy and Trade. Syrian companies from various specializations in textiles, clothing, shoes, chemical industries and many types of food and sweets participated in the exhibition.
Al-Halabi highlighted the support offered by a number of chambers of commerce and representatives of Libyan ministries, local administration and municipalities, which constitutes an important factor in developing trade and economic exchange between the two countries and promoting the spread of Syrian products in the Libyan markets.
Al-Halabi stressed that the regional office of the Union of Arab Exporters and Importers in Syria is working hard to develop Syrian exports and is always ready to cooperate with those who wish to deal with Syrian producers and goods and provide them with the necessary facilities.
