“Made in Syria” exhibition held on grounds of Baghdad International Fair witnesses remarkable Iraqi presence

“Made in Syria” exhibition for direct sales, which opened on Saturday on the grounds of Baghdad International Fair, witnessed a remarkable presence of Iraqi consumers, traders and industrialists.

One hundred and seventy Syrian merchants and industrialists and more than 100 companies are participating in the exhibition, which is being held under the supervision of the regional office of the Arab Exporters Union, displaying hundreds of types of textile, health, food, electrical and cosmetic industries.

Syrian Ambassador to Baghdad, SattamJadaan Al-Dandah, indicated in a statement to SANA reporter, the exhibition’s role in developing economic, commercial, investment and industrial cooperation between Syria and Iraq. He underlined its importance in promoting the local product within the Iraqi markets, which is one of the most important markets for Syrian goods.

In turn, Muhammad Al-Sawah, head of the regional office of the Arab Exporters Union, stressed that the exhibition is an “important step to meet the needs of the Iraqi consumer who accepts Syrian goods,” noting that it comes within several steps being taken to provide Syrian products in the Iraqi markets as one of the widest windows to promote them, especially with the quality and durability that characterize the Syrian industry.

Abdul Razzaq Al-Zuhairi, head of the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce, highlighted the growth of commercial and industrial relations between the two countries. He noted that holding this exhibition for direct sale in Baghdad is a clear indication that the commercial and industrial relations between the two countries are growing and escalating for the good and benefit of the two brotherly peoples.

In turn, the Iraqi industrialist, Faleh Al-Shammari, expressed his hope for the growth of relations between Syria and Iraq at various levels, praising the important role played by the Syrian industrialist who faces various challenges without neglecting his duty towards his people and his country.” Al-Shammari stressed that the demand for Syrian goods from Iraqis is very high because of the quality of these goods and their appropriate prices.

The exhibition, which continues for ten days, is witnessing a large turnout of Iraqi visitors, whether businessmen, traders, industrialists or consumers.

“Made in Syria” exhibition for direct sale was held previously on the grounds of Baghdad International Fair on the 25th of last July, with the participation of one hundred major industrial companies, food, textile and chemical brands, and 170 Syrian traders and industrialists.
