“Made in Syria” Shopping Festival in Qatana Secures citizens needs of goods at low prices

Damascus countryside  (ST):  The activities of the 144th monthly shopping festival (Made in Syria) were launched, with the participation of 25 national industrial companies in the Hall of the Syria Trading in Qatana, Damascus Countryside, and they will continue until the 17th of this month.

The festival, which was opened in the presence of the Governor of  Damascus Countryside Safwan Abu Saadi and was organized by the Chambers of Industry and the Chamber of Commerce of Damascus Countryside in  cooperation with the Governorate and the Syrian Chamber of Commerce, includes various products of clothing and foodstuffs at lower prices than their counterparts in the market, within the framework of the government positive intervention to secure the needs of citizens in accessible ways.

The head of the Damascus Countryside Chamber of Commerce Osama Mustafa underlined the importance of the festival, which is held for the first time in Qatana, in securing citizens’ requirements from the producer to the consumer directly, to break mediation circles, pointing out that transportation is provided for citizens to visit the festival and buy their needs of products at lower prices than their counterparts outside the festival by about 20 to 25 percent.

In his turn, the Vice-President of the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside, Talal Qalaji, explained the importance of holding the festival in Qatana, especially since it is held during the blessed month of Ramadan, indicating that the festival was held before in Douma and Al-Nabek.
