Lukashenko ratifies the amendment to the Constitution of Belarus

Minsk (ST): Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko ratified the referendum decision on amending the country’s constitution.

 

Belarus 1 channel stated that the signing ceremony of the referendum decision is taking place today at the Independence Palace in the capital, Minsk.

Yesterday, the Central Election Commission of Belarus approved the results of the referendum on amendments and additions to the country’s constitution “at the republican level”, and the amendments received the support of 82.86 percent of the voting participants.

The committee stated that the updated constitution will enter into force 10 days after its official publication.
