Minsk, (ST) – Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko stressed that his country does not want the crisis of migrants stranded at the border with Poland to escalate into a conflict. He said that his country works to return these migrants to their countries.
Lukashenko said on Monday that work is actively underway in this region to persuade people to return to their homes, but no one wants to return.
He continued that Belarus can transport migrants on its national carrier (Belavia) to Germany if Poland is unwilling to provide a humanitarian corridor. “We will send them to Munich on our planes if necessary,” Lukashenko added.
He stressed that his country does not want the migrant crisis to escalate into a “conflict” because that would be “very harmful for it.”
Lukashenko considered that the migrant crisis on the border between Belarus and Poland revealed the true face of Western countries
