The Syrian Society for the Physically Handicapped has distributed 55 wheelchairs to a number of people with disabilities, provided by the Cooperative Society of Masada Village Farmers in the occupied Syrian Arab Golan, under the title “Love does not need two feet.”
Vice President of the Syrian Association for the Physically Handicapped, Nour Al-Sibt, explained the importance of any initiative that helps people with disabilities to continue their activities as productive people, noting that the selection of beneficiaries focused on the idea of providing the service to those in need and those who have a disability card.
In turn, the donations coordinator with the Association, Shakib Sabra explained that the priority in the distribution was mainly for children, as they need to go to school on a daily basis, pointing out that the distribution of 55 chairs is a second phase of the initiative, where 27 chairs were distributed in the first to children in Sweida Governorate with a plan for expansion in other provinces.
