SANA correspondent in the occupied Syrian Golan reported that following the funeral of the martyrs of the massacre committed by the Israeli occupation in Majdal Shams, the Minister of Finance Bezalel Smotrich and other ministers of the occupation government, accompanied by their guards, arrived at the site of the massacre in the municipal stadium that claimed the lives of 12 children and wounded tens of people.
The locals in Majdal Shams expelled them and shouted in their faces: “You are killers … Leave … Stop the war”.
The Akel Sheikhdom of the Unitarian Muslims in Syria stressed that the treacherous Israeli hand will not undermine the determination, patience and struggle of our people in the occupied Syrian Golan to preserve values and principles. It affirmed solidarity of the Syrian people with people in occupied Golan in the face of the barbaric Zionist aggression that led to the martyrdom and injury of dozens of children in the occupied town of Majdal Shams.
The sheikhdom said in a statement read by Sheikh Youssef Jarbou, the Sheikh Akel of the community, “our honorable people in the occupied Syrian Arab Golan and in the Syrian Arab Republic in general, we have been afflicted by the same calamity that befell our brothers and people yesterday. We affirm our solidarity with our people in the Golan and in the village of Majdal Shams and stress our support for them in the face of the brutal aggression that has led to the martyrdom of many innocent victims, including children and young people.”
He reiterated that the Israeli treacherous behavior won’t be able to affect the strong will of the people in Golan to continue the struggle to preserve their values and principles.
He pointed out that it is no secret to anyone that the Zionist entity commits daily massacres against our people in occupied Palestine without any human deterrent.
Sheikh Jarbou went on to say “we and you confirm our belonging to the Syrian Arab Republic, which is united through its leader, army and flag, and we do not accept anything less than a unified Syria with all its geography, spectrums and sects. We also do not accept being dragged into the conflict of nations that seeks only to separate, weaken and divide us, and we reject any foreign interference in our internal affairs”.
