Libyan Security Source : Extremists Tried to Send Mustard Gas Shipment to Syria

TRIPOLI,(ST)_ Brigadier Mansour al- Mozainy commander of the Libyan ” Desert Legion ” revealed that extremists tried to send a shipment of mustard gas to Syria via Libya, explaining that the extremists were arrested and the shipment was confiscated.

Al- Mozainy told the  Libyan international TV Channel that “some extremists tried to send a shipment of mustard gas to Syria and it was confiscated a,” adding that some of the Libyan officials asked for releasing it.

Following NATO aggression against it in 2011, Libya turned to be a center attracting terrorists who were recruited to be resent to Syria after receiving the necessary training.

Moreover, several intelligence reports revealed that scores of armed Libyans joined terrorist organizations in Syria under the name of ” jihad ” and that many of them were killed during operations carried out by the Syrian Army targeting  the armed terrorist groups backed by Western and Arab Gulf countries.
