Libyan Demonstrators Burn Qatari, Turkish Flags Protesting these Countries’ Support for Terrorism

TRIPOLI- Libyan demonstrators yesterday night burnt Qatari and Turkish flags as well as the flag of the terrorist “Moslem Brotherhood” Group protesting these parties’ support for Terrorism.

According to “Bawabet al-Wasat” website, the demonstrators who toured the streets of the Libyan city of Tabrq called for supporting the Libyan army and police as to make their mission of combating terrorism a success.

In a statement, the demonstrators reiterated that dialogue should be held with all the Libyan society’s components not with the parties which raised arms against the Libyan state and contributed to destroying the state’s institutions like airports, ports and oil fields.

Earlier yesterday, the Commander in Chief of the Libyan Army Lt. Gen. Khalifa Haftar reiterated that Qatar and Turkey keep supporting the terrorist organizations in Libya by funding and arming the terrorists and by recruiting illegal immigrants and arming them as to take part in the fight against the Libyan army.

He said that terrorism is an international problem and that his top priority as the Commander in Chief of the Libyan army is to attain security in the country.

He added that the arms ban imposed on the Libyan army was the result of a mistake in assessing the interests of the countries that benefit from selling arms to illegal parties, thereby hurting the Libyan state and threatening world peace.

Fierce clashes have been erupted for months between the Libyan army and the terrorist extremist groups in different Libyan areas amid a state of disorder and insecurity following NATO aggression on Libya in 2011.
