Libya: We welcome US President announcement to lift sanctions on Syria

Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated: We welcome US President Donald Trump’s announcement to lift sanctions on Syria.

It added “The decision represented a glimmer of hope towards ending the suffering of the brotherly Syrian people and paves the way for national recovery efforts.”

“We support Syria’s unity and the restoration of its regional and international role.” It stressed
