HASSAKA, (ST)-140 wanted persons from the city of Qamishli have had their legal status settled in accordance with the Amnesty Decree No. 15 for 2016 after they surrendered to competent authorities in Hassaka province.
Governor of Hassaka Jayez al-Hammoud al-Moussa, who attended the event on Sunday, said the homeland needs all its citizens to take part in defending the country against takfiri terrorists. He urged all social components to contact misled persons, who carried weapon against the state, and encouraged them to return to the right track and participate in rebuilding the homeland.
Moussa affirmed that the local reconciliation project will continue across the country as to stop bloodshed, stressing that the door is widely opened for all misled people to repent and get their legal status settled.
The surrendering persons promised not to take part in any acts that threaten the homeland’s security, noting that the settlement deal is a new start for them to participate in reconstructing Syria and defending it against terrorism.
