Lebanon needs distinguished relations with Syria

BEIRUT, (ST)-Lebanese Minister of Agriculture Abbas Murtada has stressed that Lebanon is in dire need for distinguished relations with Syria.

At a meeting with parties concerned in agriculture in the city of Hermel in al-Bekaa area on Saturday, Murtada said “the situation of transit between Lebanon and Syria  is the main cause of the agricultural crisis in Lebanon, ” reiterating Lebanon’s need for distinguished relations with Syria.

 He added that the ministry has launched a new strategy to develop the agricultural sector which is of great vitality to all the Lebanese.
