Lebanon: Muslim Scholars’ Gathering demands for US forces’ withdrawal from Syria

Beirut (ST): The Administrative Committee of the Gathering of Muslim Scholars in Lebanon has denounced the provocative practices of the American occupation forces against locals in the Syrian Jezira region.
In a statement, the Committee demanded for the unconditional withdrawal of the American occupation troops and all the foreign forces that entered Syria without the agreement of the Syrian state.
The Committee also condemned the recurrent Israeli violations of the Lebanese sovereignty amid international silence, noting that these violations are considered a flagrant breach of UN resolution No. 1701.
