Lebanese writer Nidal Hamadeh: The war on Syria was the starting point for the attempt to overthrow the entire region

Damascus (ST):  Lebanese journalist and political analyst Nidal Hamadeh has affirmed that the main goal of the war on Syria was to overthrow the state and then to overthrow the entire region into the hands of America through its allies from the terrorist organizations that were brought in from the four sides of the globe.

Hamadeh, an expert on European affairs and takfiri organizations, in an article entitled “The President Who Supported the Arab Resistance,” says that after the American occupation of Iraq, Syria was the focus of the world’s attention and American threats were directed to  it, especially after the support provided by President Bashar al-Assad to the Iraqi resistance and  the defeat of the American plan seeking for a new Middle East.

Hamadeh continues in the article published in the book “President Al-Assad Bright Pages from the History of Resilience” issued by the Syrian General Book Authority: “President al-Assad led Syria to safety under the most complicated and difficult circumstances for his country and its Arab surroundings, especially after the US invasion and occupation of Iraq and the resulting threats to invade Syria and the harsh siege it was subjected to as a result of its refusal to normalize relations with Israeli occupation.

The support provided by President Al-Assad was not limited to the Iraqi resistance, but also included all the Arab resistance movements that fought against the foreign occupation, as his support for the Palestinian resistance groups was a reason for the involvement of the West and the Israeli occupation entity in the war on Syria, while the national resistance in Lebanon views him as a partner in the victory of the July 2006 war.

Hamadeh concludes his article saying: “The war on Syria and the harsh conditions it is going through have put President Al-Assad in the position of the only guarantor capable of preserving the existence of the Syrian entity and the cornerstone of the cohesion of the Syrian state.”

It is noteworthy that Nidal Hamadeh is a Lebanese journalist and political writer residing in France. He has published several books, including “The Industry of False Witnesses”,  “The Mysteries and Secrets of ISIS”,  “The Other Side of the Arab Revolutions.”
