Beirut ,(ST)-A number of religious scholars in the Lebanese city of Sidon affirmed that the victories that Syria has achieved over terrorism and aggression are victories for Lebanon, Palestine and the resistance in the region.
During his meeting with a number of city scholars, the Syrian ambassador in Beirut, Ali Abdel Karim, the head of the “Ulfa” Association, Sohaib Habli, said that Sidon was and will remain the gateway to the south and the capital of the resistance, and it is always next to Damascus, pointing out that Syria is politically and militarily victorious .It will become stronger and regain its position, which is translated through the visits of Arab delegations to Damascus.
Sheikh Habli added, “We congratulate Syria and its people for the victory of President Bashar al-Assad in the presidential elections, pointing out that this award came as a continuation of the victory that Syria achieved in confronting the terrorists.
For his part, Ambassador Abdel Karim reiterated Syria’s permanent support for Lebanon, expressing at the same time his hope that Lebanon would emerge from its crisis as soon as possible for the interest of the Lebanese people.
Abdel Karim noted the depth of the ties that bring together the people of the two brotherly countries, which confirms the need to strengthen the bonds of relationship and cooperation between Lebanon and Syria.
