Lebanese President Praises Iran’s Aid to Settlement of Syrian Crisis

Lebanese President Michel Suleiman lauded the Iranian nation and government for

their efforts to resolve the crisis in Syria through peaceful means and also for their constant supports for Lebanon’s national unity and stability.   

Lebanese president made the remarks in a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Beirut Qazanfar Roknabadi in the Lebanese capital on Saturday,according to FNA.

President Suleiman hailed Iran for its contributions to the solution of the crisis in Syria, and also thanked Iran for supporting stability and national unity in Lebanon.

The Iranian ambassador to Beirut, for his part, pointed to the Islamic Republic’s efforts to prevent the spread of the crisis in Syria to its neighboring countries, including Lebanon, and underlined Iran’s emphasis on supporting the stability and national unity of Lebanon.

Roknabadi also pointed to Syria’s present situation, and said the country’s enemies are now disappointed because they have failed to execute their plots against Syria.

 He expressed the hope that the crisis in Syria “will soon be resolved”.
