Lebanese Political Analyst: Syria’s patriotic and national principles and institutions enabled it to confront aggression

Syria and its leadership faced an unprecedented terrorist war that aimed at undermining its national and patriotic identity and dividing its geography. But Syria was able to confront the aggression with its patriotic principles, institutions and plans of supporting the national economy.

These visions were presented by the Lebanese political analyst Rafik Nasrallah in an article entitled “An Exceptional Man at an Exceptional Stage” , indicating that leadership is not just a position assumed by a person at a certain stage in his country’s history, but it requires  an exceptional leader who is distinguished in full possession of courage, awareness, patriotic and national dignity and the ability of crisis management.

The article was published in the book “The Leader Al-Assad Bright Pages from the History of Resilience” issued by the Syrian General Authority of the book. In his article, Nasrallah noted that the characteristics of the exceptional leader were combined in the personality of President Bashar Al-Assad, who faced a great conspiracy which is accompanied with campaigns of misleading, distorting, threatening and blockade.

Nasrallah pointed out that the national and patriotic principles on which President al-Assad grew up formed a basis, a cultural legacy, and  pure Arab awareness that remained a basic pillar in defining the identity of Syria. He referred to Al-Assad’s  internal visions and constants as well as plans to support the national economy which plays a pivotal role in tackling blockade and its repercussions on the Syrian society.

Nasrallah concluded his article by confirming that Syria, with its leader and army is now a fortress of steadfastness and is about to liberate all of its territories.

It is noteworthy that Rafik Nasrallah, director of the International Center for Media and Studies, is a consultant in the Lebanese Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense. He won the Lebanese Order of Merit, and is a lecturer in Lebanese and Arab universities.
