Lebanese personalities and parties condemn the Israeli aggression against Syria

Today, the meeting of Lebanese national parties and forces in the Bekaa condemned the Israeli aggression against Syria, which targeted residential areas in and around Damascus, killing five people and injuring 15 others, and causing destruction to homes and infrastructure.

The participants said in a statement: At a time when Syria is removing the effects of the earthquake and the repercussions of the human tragedy that it left behind amidst a blockade and international discrimination in the worst form of racism, and in full view of the world and its international institutions, Israel launches a criminal aggression that affected civilian neighborhoods in Damascus and its countryside.”

The statement called on the Arab elites and peoples to expose this usurper entity, expose its criminality, hold it accountable in Arab and international forums, and prosecute its leaders as war criminals

For his part, the deputy head of the Supreme Shiite Islamic Council, Sheikh Ali al-Khatib, said: The Israeli aggression and terrorist action in the eastern countryside of Homs governorate reveal the Zionist hatred and barbarism in killing innocents and bloodshed, at a time when the world is in solidarity with Syria over the earthquake.”

In turn, the Islamic Unity Movement condemned the aggression, and said in a statement: The timing of the aggression today, after the earthquake, is evidence that the enemy, and those behind it, violate everything that is human and do not respect international principles or laws.’

In turn, the head of the National Center in North Lebanon, Kamal al-Khair, condemned the Israeli aggression against Syria, stressing that it is a crime against humanity

In addition, the Ummah (Nation)Movement denounced the aggression, and said in a statement: “The successive attacks of the Zionist entity, and the terrorist organization “ISIS” attack on the Syrian people, confirm the connection of these two entities and their hatred to target Syria, and deepen the tragedy of its people, especially after the earthquake.

In turn, the Syrian Social Nationalist Party condemned the Israeli aggression, and said in a statement: At a time when the Syrian state’s efforts are focused on overcoming the repercussions of the earthquake, the Zionist enemy launched a brutal aggression targeting residential neighborhoods in Damascus.”
