Lebanese parties and Politicans: The decision to resume Syria’s participation in the Arab League meetings is an Arab awakening
Beirut, (ST) – The Union Party in Lebanon affirmed that the decision to resume Syria’s participation in the Arab League meetings is an Arab awakening to the importance of Syria in Arab action.
In a statement on Monday, the Union Party stressed that the absence and exclusion of Syria in the previous period confused Arab solidarity, and opened large gaps in Arab action.
In a similar statement, the Front of Patriotic and National Parties in Lebanon indicated that this decision restored consideration to the idea of universal Arabism, and enshrined the approach of the resistance and its upward schematic line that adheres to national rights.
In turn, The excellent Jaafari Mufti, Sheikh Ahmad Qabalan, affirmed that Syria’s return to the Arab League is an Arab necessity and a Lebanese interest.
For his part, the Head of the National Solidarity Meeting in Lebanon, Sheikh Mustafa Malas welcomed the consensus of the Arab countries on this decision. He stressed that Syria’s absence from the League has made it lose its role, and this matter should not be repeated with any Arab country.
Malas pointed out that the Arab responsibility requires that this step be completed by making the file of the reconstruction of Syria a central item on the agenda of the summit to be held in Saudi Arabia.
