Lebanese Health Ministry calls on international community to put an end to Israeli attacks on paramedics
The Ministry of Public Health in the caretaker Lebanese government affirmed that the Israeli enemy’s insistence on repeatedly targeting health workers reflects dangerous, hateful violations, explaining that one of the minimum duties of the international community is to put an end to these attacks to ensure respect for international humanitarian laws and not leave the door open to violence and genocide.
The ministry said in a statement on Saturday “a paramedic in the Islamic Message Scouts Association in Burj Rahhal was martyred at dawn today after being directly targeted by the Israeli enemy during his rescue work to remove a wounded person. Also, an enemy raid on an ambulance team affiliated with the Islamic Health Authority during a rescue work in Kfar Tibnit led to the martyrdom of aparamedic and the injury of four other paramedics. Two other paramedics are still missing.”
The ministry renewed its condemnation of the barbaric attacks on paramedics during their humanitarian rescue work, which shows an unprecedented level of violence that leaves no room for human values.
The Israeli enemy committed a series of massacres against ambulance and rescue teams in Lebanon, the latest of which was targeting the Civil Defense Center in the town of Douris, which led to the martyrdom of 13 paramedics, including the head of the center.
