Lebanese Health Minister: 12 martyrs and 2,800 injured due to the Israeli cyber aggression

Beirut, (ST) – Lebanese caretaker Health Minister Firas Abiad announced that the number of martyrs as a result of the Israeli cyber aggression on Lebanon yesterday has reached 12 so far, including two children.

Abiad stated in a press conference today, according to Lebanese media, that the number of injured reached 2,750, including 300 serious injuries, and that among the injured were 750 in the south, 150 in the Bekaa, and 1,850 in Beirut and the suburbs.

Abiad stated that hospitals received approximately 2,800 injured within half an hour, where two-thirds of the injured needed to be admitted to the hospital, and 460 operations have been performed so far, most of which were eye and facial operations.

The Lebanese Health Minister indicated that 4 of the victims of the aggression are health sector workers, and that blood banks received more than 2,000 donations within 3 hours, which is the largest percentage in Lebanon’s history.

According to Al-Abiad, a number of the injured were transferred to Syria and others will be transferred to Iran for treatment. Medical aid has also arrived from Iraq, Iran and Jordan.
