Lebanese Foreign Ministry: The international community must benefit from the opinion of the Court of Justice to pressure “Israel” to stop its violations
The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants hailed the advisory opinion issued by the International Court of Justice on Friday on the legal consequences of the Israeli entity’s settlement policies and practices in the occupied Palestinian territories, including Al Quds (Jerusalem).
The Ministry explained in a statement that this advisory opinion confirms the illegality of Israel’s settlement policies and its occupation of Palestinian lands, and supports the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, and the necessity of achieving the establishment of an independent, sovereign and viable Palestinian state.
The Ministry called on the international community and concerned countries to take advantage of this legal basis to put pressure on “Israel” in order to end its attacks, violations, and displacement policies, and to oblige it to immediately stop all settlement activities, evacuate all settlers, and end the occupation of the Palestinian territories.

The Ministry called on the United Nations and member states to take measures to stop the massacres in the Gaza Strip and support the right to self-determination for the Palestinian people.
On Friday, the International Court of Justice confirmed in its advisory opinion that the presence of the Israeli occupation is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and that “Israel” must stop the occupation and end its illegal presence in the occupied Palestinian territories as soon as possible.
