Lebanese Education Ministry closes schools in several areas due to Israeli attacks

Beirut (ST) – The Minister of Education and Higher Education in the Lebanese caretaker government, Dr. Abbas Al-Halabi, announced the closure of public and private schools, high schools, institutes, vocational and technical schools today and tomorrow in the governorates of the South, Nabatieh, Bekaa, Baalbek-Hermel, and the southern suburb, due to tge Israeli attacks.

The Lebanese National News Agency quoted Al-Halabi as saying that this measure comes in the light of the untable security and military situation in the aforementioned governorates, which poses a danger to the transfer of students to the aforementioned schools and educational institutions.

Minister Al-Halabi called on the directors of educational institutions to follow the official statements issued by the ministry in this regard.

Since this morning, the Israeli enemy has launched intensive raids on various villages and towns in the South and Western Bekaa, reaching the North, which has resulted in the martyrdom of civilians and dozens of injuries, as well as significant material damage.
