Lebanese and Egyptian politicians: President Al-Assad’s speech came at the level of Syria’s victories over terrorism
On July 18th, Secretary-General of the Arab Popular Front for Unity in Egypt, Alaa Abu Zeid, affirmed that President Bashar Al-Assad’s speech after taking the constitutional oath represents a comprehensive program of action for the future.
Abu Zeid said: “ President Al-Assad’s speech was comprehensive, in which the leader provoked his Syrian people in all sectors for rebuilding process.”
For his part, the president of the Arab National Forum, Maan Bashour, affirmed that President al-Assad’s speech came at the level of the victories that Syria has achieved over the global war and its outcomes .
Bashour said: “President al-Assad’s emphasis on the concept of belonging, which cannot be limited to a part, a factor, or an address, on the one hand, and that Arabism is a comprehensive affiliation to all components and issues, on the other hand, is an expression of a sound and deep understanding of Arabism as an all-inclusive association of components.”
Bashour referred to President al-Assad’s principled adherence to Syria’s right to resist every occupation of its land in the north or south, and the question of Palestine as a central issue in its struggle.
Former Lebanese MP Emile Lahoud said: “ President Al-Assad’s speech represents a declaration of victory for Syria and for every believer in the resistance approach.”
Lahoud said: “ Today, Syria, after crushing terrorism and its supporters, it entered the economic resistance and focused on the efforts of its sons and their honorable positions.”
He added: “ Syria, which has not surrendered militarily, will never surrender economically, although the war is still ongoing in a new way.”
