Leader of Lebanese Resistance: Syria has been a major supporter for resistance fronts despite western pressure
Beirut (ST) –Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, has affirmed that Syria has been a major supporter for resistance fronts.
Sayyed Nasrallah said in a speech on the eighth anniversary of the martyrdom of Commander Mustafa Badr al-Din that one of the main goals of the global war against Syria is to make it under the American control and lead it a devastating civil war.
Regarding the Israeli aggression against Gaza Strip, Nasrallah stressed that among the goals of the resistance in the Strip is to revive the Palestinian cause and remind all of the Palestinians’ rights.
He pointed out that the student demonstrations and protests in a number of European countries that carried the Palestinian flag, have angered the occupation authorities and the American administration.
Nasrallah added that despite the Israeli lies, there are more than 140 countries demanding that the aggression against the Strip be stopped and that Palestine be given full membership.
He stressed that Israel’s image in the world today is that it kills children and women and is arrogant towards international laws, human values and ethics.
“After 8 months of aggression against the Gaza Strip, we see the Israeli enemy unable to return the prisoners held by the Palestinian resistance and settlers to the vicinity of the Gaza Strip and in the north as well. It is also unable to secure its ships from missiles coming from thousands of kilometers away, while incurring strategic losses inflicted on its various sectors”, he said.
Nasrallah stressed that the resistance operations in southern Lebanon are continuing and rising according to field data. He poibted out that the goal of these operations is to pressure the Zionist enemy and exhaust it in order to stop its aggression against the Gaza Strip.
Regarding the file of the displaced Syrians in Lebanon, Nasrallah stated that there is consensus on solving the file of the displaced and that there is no choice but to communicate with the Syrian government for their return to their country.
