Le Pen: France Must Restore Diplomatic Relations with Syria
PARIS, (ST)_ Leader of the French right-wing “National Front” party, Marine Le Pen said that her country must restore diplomatic relations with Syria and cooperate with Russia in order to fight against “Daesh” terrorist organization.
“Le Pen” wrote on her page on “Twitter” that Europe should not write its future by an American pen, adding that: “France must radically change its policy that has been dictated by Washington.”
She added that Paris should “resume its diplomatic ties with Damascus and cooperate with Russia in the face of what she called, Islamic extremism.”
On February 26th, a French delegation headed by French Senator Jean-Pierre Vial, head of the French – Syrian friendship society visited Syria and stressed that it is in the interests of France to establish security and stability in the region and cooperation with Syria to curb terrorism, which is no longer a threat to the people of the Middle East, but also to Europe.
