Law issued exempting clients of Agricultural Coop Bank from interests and fees for loans

Damascus – President Bashar al-Assad on Wednesday issued Law no. 46 for 2018, exempting clients of the Agricultural Coop Bank from all contractual interests and fines and interests for overdue loans, SANA reported.

The law doesn’t cover debts for private sector clients that exceed SYP 5 million, and the exemption requires the client to make a payment of 5% of the tabulated account capital.
