Lavrov: We do not want a Nazi state near our borders, and our most important goal is the demilitarization of Ukraine

On March 10th, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stressed that his country does not want the presence of a Nazi state near its borders, and one of the most important goals of the Russian special operation in Ukraine is its disarmament.

“We support all kinds of contact with the Ukrainian side with the aim of achieving a settlement, and our initiative to open daily humanitarian corridors remains in place,” Lavrov said during a press conference in Antalya.

Lavrov warned against providing more lethal weapons to Ukraine, stressing that “it poses a threat to several countries, and whoever supplies Ukraine with weapons must shoulder the responsibility for what he is doing.”

 

Lavrov added: “The maternity home in Mariupol is empty of patients and employees, and the building has long been a base for extremists.”

Lavrov said that his country did not and will not use gas and oil as means of economic warfare.

Regarding talks about a third world war, Lavrov indicated that Russia never talks about the possibility of a third world war and it is serious about finding a solution through negotiations with Ukraine.
