Lavrov warns of the danger of developing Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip into a regional war

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov warned of the danger of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip developing into a regional war.

Sputnik news agency quoted Lavrov as saying in statements to reporters in the Democratic Korean capital, Pyongyang, which he is currently visiting: His country is ready to discuss any constructive proposals presented due to the desire to achieve a ceasefire and prevent escalation of the situation in the region,” adding: “We call for any approach based on balancing the interests of the parties, and not imposing the interests of anyone at the expense of the interests of others.”

Lavrov considered that attempts by Israel and Western countries to blame Iran for everything that happens in the region constitute a provocative act.

It is noteworthy that Russia submitted a draft resolution to the UN Security Council, stipulating a ceasefire and the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, but it was thwarted by Western countries.
