Lavrov to discuss preparation for Geneva-2 conference in Paris

 Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is going to Paris to discuss preparation for the Geneva-2 international conference on Syria, according to Voice of Russia.

In Paris on 12-13 January he is to meet with the US secretary of state, foreign ministers of France and Jordan, the United Nations special envoy to Syria LakhdarBrahimi and others.

Geneva-2 is to open in Swiss Montreux on 22 January. The participants are the Russian foreign minister, the US secretary of state, delegations from China, France, the UK and 30 other countries, as well as representatives of the UN, the European Union and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
