Lavrov: The west tries to force countries to condemn Russia

MOSCOW, March.29, (ST)-The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Tuesday that the West is trying to force countries to condemn Russia through blackmailing and threatening them. 
 
Lavrov’s remarks came  during his meeting with the Head of the Lebanese Democratic Party, MP Talal Arslan, in Moscow, according to Novosti news agency. 
 
“ When our western colleagues realized that their plans to turn Ukraine into a Launchpad against Russia were foiled, they started to blackmail and threaten countries to force them to condemn Russia,” Lavrov said. 
 
He added that Lebanon is going through difficult times, indicating that the international parties which try to use the region for their interests seek to affect the situation in Ukraine.
