MOSCOW, DEC.6, (ST)-The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced on Monday that the forthcoming Astana talks on Syria are due to be held in a few weeks, according to Sputnik.
The minister clarified that observers from Arab countries will take part in the forthcoming Astana talks that will be held in the capital of Kazakhstan, Nur-Sultan.
Last month, the Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tileuberdi declared that a new round of Astana talks will be held at the mid of December.
Astana talks on Syria started at the beginning of 2017 and 17 meetings have been held since that time.
All the meetings asserted their adherence to Syria’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity and the continuity of fighting terrorist groups until defeating them completely.
