Lavrov: The European Union has become more aggressive towards Russia

Baku (ST): Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stressed that the European Union has become more aggressive towards Russia and is trying to form a coalition to fight it and incite others to be antagonistic to it, and it does not intend to implement its obligations under the agreements between Russia and the EU.

Lavrov said during a press conference today with his Azerbaijani counterpart Jehun Bayramov in the Azerbaijani capital, Baku, “The European Union has recently turned remarkably into anti-Russia. The claims absolutely contradict the documents specific to the relations between the European Union and Russia.”

Lavrov indicated that the European Union, along with NATO, is working to form what can be described as an alliance against Russia, to the point of going to war with it, which Russia will look at very carefully because it follows the actions of this union, its steps, and the actions of the countries candidate for membership in it, and it will not feel any illusions about possible changes in its policy and the approach it chose and applied.
