Lavrov: Syrian army has the right to eliminate terrorism on its soil

Moscow (ST): Russian Foreign Minister Sergy Lavrov reaffirmed that Syria has the full right to eliminate terrorism on its territories.

In a joint press conference he made with his Luxembourg counterpart in Moscow, Lavrov said that the terrorists deployed in Idleb governorate continue to target civilians, the Syrian Army positions and Hmeimem base stressing that the Syrian Arab army has the full right to uproot terrorism from Idleb city or anywhere on its territories.

He noted that nobody can prevent the Syrian Arab army from implementing the UN Security Council related to combating terrorism in all its kinds and forms.

Lavrov added that the Turkish side did not commit to Sochi agreements regarding Idleb city, pointing out that a telephone call was made between President Putin and president of the Turkish regime regarding this issue at the request of the Turkish side.
