Lavrov: Some Western countries are protecting terrorist organizations

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during a press conference with his Iranian counterpart, Javad Zarif in Moscow said: “We are concerned about some countries’ attempt to interfere in the affairs of other countries. Some Western partners are protecting terrorist organizations in Syria in violation of Security Council resolutions.”

Lavrov pointed out that the United States continues to obstruct a comprehensive Iranian nuclear deal.

Zarif, on his part, stressed the need to eliminate terrorism from Syria completely.
