During his meeting today with Syria’s ambassador to Russia, Riad Haddad, on the occasion of the end of his duties in Moscow, Lavrov referred to the great job made by the ambassadors of the two countries to coordinate these efforts and put them into practice.

Lavrov said: “Russia will go ahead with this supportive approach to Syria and its people until the restoration of security and stability in it, including providing the necessary aid to support Syria’s steadfastness in the face of the economic blockade and the unjust sanctions imposed on it by the West.”

He thanked Ambassador Haddad for his fruitful work in Moscow, praising the great role he played in deepening friendly relations and enhancing cooperation between the two friendly countries in all fields.

For his part, Haddad expressed his thanks to Lavrov and the Russian Foreign Ministry staff for the good reception and for facilitating the success of his mission in Russia, once again expressing Syria’s continued support for Russia in its special military operation in Ukraine aimed at correcting the international system to serve all the peoples of the world.
