Moscow (ST): Russian Foreign Minister Sergy Lavrov affirmed the necessity of eliminating the terrorist hotbed in Idleb and providing access to humanitarian aid to those who deserve it, without politicization.
Meeting the UN Secretary General Special Envoy to Syria Gher Pederson in Moscow, Lavrov said that the field situation was improving in Syria as the terrorists were defeated and the Syrian state has restored control over the majority of its territories, referring to the necessity of eliminating the terrorist hotbed in Idleb.
He affirmed the need for providing access to humanitarian aid to those who deserve as soon as possible under the UN supervision, noting that Russia was observing the bias and double standard policy practiced by some Western states which want humanitarian aid to reach the areas in which terrorists spread only.

In turn, Pederson stressed the necessity of combatting terrorism in Idleb and creating the appropriate atmosphere for the return of the displaced Syrians.
