Lavrov, Kerry agree to meet in Paris on Jan 13 to continue joint work to prepare Geneva-2

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry talked on the telephone on Thursday on the initiative of the United States, according to Voice of Russia, Interfax.

“The situation regarding Syria, including the preparations for the Geneva-2 international conference on peaceful settlement of the  crisis in Syria in accordance with the Russian-US initiative, has been discussed.

The agreement on continuing joint preparatory work for this forum at the meeting of the Russian and US foreign affairs chiefs in Paris on January 13 has been reached,” the Russian Foreign Ministry posted a statement on its website.
